The Red Head Convention was held in the town of Crosshaven, County Cork. What you didn’t know there was such a thing? Well Ireland is showing redheads that the admiration for the fiery red heads of legend is honoring those of the red mane in their own festival. The first annual gathering happened during last weekend.
The Red Head Convention drew 300 redheads from all over the country, the event raising funds for the Irish Cancer Society. Events that the red heads took part in where light hearted events such as a carrot-tossing competition, redhead speed-dating and contests relating to so-called ginger characteristics.
