J. B. Bury’s ‘Ireland’s Saint – The Essential Biography of St. Patrick’ has become the biographical standard for the telling of the life of the arguably the world’s most famous saint – St. Patrick. Patrick, enslaved as a boy escaped from his situation in Ireland to find his way back to English shores.
To expect him to return years as a missionary to the very people who enslaved him is unexpected to say the least. With his return his life there became part fact, mostly myth. J. B. Bury was the first modern biographer of St. Patrick and spent many years weeding out the fact from fiction to pain a clear account of the life and times that that famous saint lived.
This biographical text is available for $21.95.
